    You are right. I was sitting next to his mom Thursday night in Sumter and she said he is recovering from surgery on his arm and was on 90 pitch count but they let him pitch 103 thursday. We almost saw her on the field that night.

    Just got video to come up, Rowan leads 10-3, Sumter coming to bat bott. of 9th.

    Final: Rowan over Sumter 10-6, great pitching performance again by Corbin Shive who gives Rowan 8 innings on the mound. Sumter eliminated, and Rowan now plays Tuscaloosa for SE Regional championship. Gametime approximate 7:35pm...

    Got back early this morning from Sumter. Still hard to believe that Rowan has made it to the World Series! Great game last night, it is a shame that it had to end on a balk like that but like Billy Veal said, we'll take it anyway we can get it. Veal was awesome in relief last night. Trey Holmes received MVP honors again, he has just been outstanding and has become quite the slugger. Well, it's on to Fargo now, not really sure what to expect, but I had that mentality coming into the last two tournaments, so we'll just see. I know Rowan will represent the southeast and North Carolina well. Can't wait!
