Recently Pop Rivers had his wisdom teeth taken out. Complications followed and he has been in the Hospital fighting for his life. He was in intensive care for several days.Since then he is doing much better and may get to go home tomorrow. I don't know about the rest of you but this guy has meant more to the sport of Softball the last several years than anyone. What he has done for our sport is amazing especially for our kids. It has not been about wins or losses, Championships, or recognition but about our kids for him. He is the voice of the coaches association and has helped it to grow. Please step forward to support him and his family in this time of need on the road to recovery. Pop we love you MAN! Get better soon. A speedy recovery from all of the Black Knights and Staff.

    ICON...

....is what best describes Pop! Wow, my buddy, you're not supposed to go through dental surgery at this age. Even if all goes well, its a bitch, Period. All I can say is we're in your corner pal.
All the best in recovery to one of the most influential people in the fastpitch softball world. Without folks like Pop, no doubt our kids would not be where they are today.

    I'm proud to know him!

    Recovering!

First of all, thank you! I am so blessed to have the Softball community as one of my support systems. For all the emails, pm's, phone calls, and prayers that were lifted for me and my family during the last week, I am humbled. They allowed me to go home from the hospital, but with the trachea tube still in my throat. Plans are for it to be removed on Tuesday. Hopefully after that, I can be on the road to a full recovery. Thanks again for you heartfelt concerns. The outpouring of love shown to me will never be forgotten!

    Pop
