Kannapolis Intimidators considered putting in a bid for the state tourney few years ago,,,, but there's a lot that goes into hosting such event and it just never materialized.

Shelby hosted SE Regionals and World Series just last year. Currently American Legion officials are trying to go to permanent sites for these events (ie Omaha College World Series). And Shelby has put in a bid to become permanent host for World Series. Based on the tourneys that Shelby has run in the past, they have excellent credibility with national officials, and I would say they have a very good chance of getting the WS. Which would be great.
