How awful of a call and a fat showboat umpire!!!

The little Japanese kid was STUNNED and his coach had to swallow it.

 

Apparently, Stretchy's reputation preceeds him. LL wants the games exciting, and with Stretchy's phantom strike zone being no larger than Aunt Bee's cupcakes; they can't afford to have the games last that long.

However, Diesel gets a gold star in recognizing Erin's no show. She is still unnerved by the "peephole prowler", and from all indications they have narrowed down the area and the approximate size of suspect. According to the court deocuments, "the suspect is known to live in the eastern part of North Carolina. Based on the evidence we have gathered: Person of interest

- a housekeepers cart was used to prop up the suspect to allow access to peephole
- based on CSI investigation, the perv appears to be between 49-51, 4'8"-4'11" tall, known to frequent youth baseball games- possibly masquarading as an umpire
- possibly found to "hang around concession stands at games flashing Columbian Lira to entice single mom's for photo shoots"

According to Erin Andrews publicist, "We are close to identifying who this
'Mental Midget' is. Erin is looking forward to his capture so she can return to work."

We have contacted a source in NC known as "QRuit". It is the opinion of the law enforcement in that area that nothing happens in the eastern part of the state without his knowledge. When contacted by this reporter about the Erin Andrews' "party peepin' prowler", his response was, "No comment."

The many devoted fans of Erin are very disappointed she is not participating in this year's LLWS. As one fan said, "The LLWS just isn't the same.

 

The strike zones have been exceptionally wide throughout the event...not so much up and down. It's a shame when a kid has been playing all year with a reasonable strike zone and then to come to this stage and have to deal with these incredibly wide zones....it's just too bad. However, baseball is a game of adjustments, but it must be hard to wave at something that far off the plate when everyhting in your body and mind says it's not a strike. I haven't seen ANY complaining from players or coaches and the announcers won't touch it....I feel myself yearning for the K Zone from ESPN, but we know that won't happen...just a reflex desire, much like when you are at a game in person and there is a close play and your mind immediately thinks REPLAY, but there is none.

 

I saw one inning where a pitcher struck out three batters in a row and didn't throw three strikes total. Some weren't even close. Quit watching after that.
Don't understand how some of those coaches can keep their cool.

 

wide zone

In an earlier game Hershizer commented he liked the LL wide zone a particular ump was calling to help speed up the game, then he stated that he liked the fact that he came back to a true strike zone after 2 strikes. Mixed message, dont swing till 2 strikes? Doesn't really speed up much.
I was looking forward to watching the games, but every year the zone grows and it is now to the point I can't watch it.

 

I know umpiring at any level is tough and i have always respected the job they do. This month on MLB channel is youth month and they have been showing all types of tournaments and i must agree with you guys the umpiring has been the worst i have ever seen. I understand a strike zone a little wide to speed the games but damn, some of the strikes called, i have a better chance of hitting the pitches watching the game than the players do. It does make it hard to watch the game. Its not funny but i had to laugh,i was watching the New York team play and one of the players was called out on srikes and you could see while he was going back to the dugout he was saying " damn that ball was outside"

 

It's funny you mentioned that. In college, it's a complete opposite. Once there are 2 strikes, the zone gets even smaller.

 

Whoah...camera had a close up of a kid.....tossing the F Bombs. How stupid of the cameraman to show a kid that was just rocked for 6 runs. These aren't Leave it to Beaver kids "Gee Wally...we're losing"

ESPNU showing replay saturday morning and they justed showed Kiko drop the f-bomb again. Someone beat these cocky kids.
