Facts: Hustles and tries to make every play. Hates to lose and refuses to go down without a fight. Plays with a certain baseball swagger thats impressive.

Facts: Strong hitter with a solid approach at the plate. Plays 2nd Base at Athens but can also play the OF, his size may keep him away from the MIF (big/strong kid). Spends a lot of time working on his offense. Has power.

All you can say about this kid is that he is a gamer. Has exceptional hands at third base with an above average arm and quick release. Great gap to gap hitter with some pop in his bat. But his greatest quality to me is that he is always in the game, never gets flustered and is just a pure ballplayer. Have not heard if anyone is looking at him, but who ever picks him up will get a real steal. Mitchell is not only a great player but an even better kid.

If I were a college scout, this post would get my interest. There is no better compliment you can give a kid than calling him a "gamer". Regardless of skill level, a kid that is a gamer is special. A kid that's a gamer with tools....is one I want on my team.

You can have all the .500 BA players on your team, I want the one's that have a high RISP, OBP, and want the ball hit to him that ends the game.

Daniel is a complete ball player and lives for the game. Last year he was a relief pitcher/closer for Hopewell getting 3 wins in 17 innings of work, 2 of which were against North Meck. He throws in the mid 80's with a hook that makes RHB's jump out of the box and a CU that drops about 7mph off his FB.
He also catches and played all field positions with confidence and skill and at the plate is a solid situational hitter able to go to all fields with power.
Daniel is also a good student with a 4.5 gpa in all Honors and AP classes.

Speed to 2b clocked at 87mph.
Very good defensive player, great baseball mind, calls a very good intelligent game from behind the plate. He has some speed on basepath. Will give middle relief on the mound but could start. Jacob is a very good student with 3.6 GPA. He plays for the Carolina Twisters 2010 showcase team.

    Blake Pettit
    RHP/3B/OF
    Bats left
    6’4”, 190 lbs.
    Wake Forest – Rolesville HS
(WF-R has relocated to Heritage HS campus this year while their school is being renovated)
Mid 80s fastball with movement, dirty slider
    Carolina Cubs

Blake is a quiet leader with excellent makeup. 3.8 GPA in Honors and AP classes. If I walk up to a game Blake's pitching in I can’t tell if he’s pitching a no-hitter or is having an off day. His approach to the game is businesslike and he doesn’t get rattled. Great kid, great family, loves the game. In addition, he has that attribute you can’t teach – a 6’4” long, lean frame with lots of growth potential.
