    Poor sportsmanship

    That California team is indeed powerful and talented and they are setting some records for offensive productivity. It's a shame they can't do so with some class. There are ways to show the joy of winning and the excitement of succeeding at a high level, but you don't have to rub your opponents nose in it to do so. I'm not referring to them scoring so many runs, rather how they behave when they do so. The very talented Kiko Garcia is either crying or dropping F-bombs and one of the players stomped home plate after hitting a big bomb, as the shell-shocked Texas catcher stood nearby. The big kid for California hit a line shot out to centerfield and wouldn't even watch it...took his eyes off of it upon contact and never looked at it again. I much prefer 12-year olds who gleefully watch the arcing shot as they approach first base and then exult as they realize it's a round tripper.....I also prefer 12-year olds who look the part.....the 6 foot plus, 200 pond plus version is is a bit much.

    I guess it's hard to just be a normal kid, when you've got Brent Musberger and others breathlessly describing every movement as if they are watching DaVinci at work.

    Musberger, Ostreda, the CA Team (and fans)...amongst other things...have succeed in pushing me away from watching the LL WS again. I will watch the Championship game with jaded eye...and volume off.

    Not The Same!

    It has turned into a power game with the 13 year olds. I can't stand listening to Musberger either. The umpiring has been especially bad this year behind the plate also. I miss Harold Reynolds, who I thought was perfect for Little League announcing, & also Erin Andrews, who is just plain perfect for any occasion. And to top it off, all the commercials are hawking this new reduced sugar Frosted Flakes. Who wants reduced sugar? Not me! Hey, let's just take the flavor out of everything we love to eat.
