3 2nd half turnovers doom Mooresville. Mooresville is struggling trying to learn to win. They are much like the Cougars last year, it will come Blue Devil fans. Too much talent on the team to struggle all year. As for Alexander Central they just find a way to win. They don't give up and they make big plays when they need it.

    Awesome game..

Awesome game to be at .. And I can't believe that some outrageous idiotic fans took away some of the enjoyment of the game. When Mooresville had the ball in AC territory up 21-20 and Mooresville tried running the option to the left, and pitch got to the RB just as the defender from AC did, and AC picked it up and ran it back for TD.. the fans around me for Mooresville let the curse words fly and began to fuss about how bad the offensive plays were and coach sucks this coach needs to shove it here and people need to understand the game of football and how coaches call plays and what a coach can and cant control before they bash. Great defensive stand twice by Alexander.. 1st on a 4th and short when the QB tried a sneak and was held up tried spinning off pile to the right and Kevin Markham #9 for AC stuffed him. Then Mooresville got the ball back and drove all way down to the 5 yard line I believe, had 4th and 2 but on the running play fumbled the ball and AC recovered. Had a scare on the TD that put AC to within 1 point, Kyle Bradshaw who I noticed limping earlier, laid on the ground after scoring but returned on the drive after Mooresville turned it over on downs.

How in the world is Mooresville winless? They are one heck of a ball club and just like Wise said, the wins will come. If the people from Mooresville will quit tearing down the coach so much, they may have a great man for the job and just don't know it. Ask some people about Tom Harper and they will say he isn't much, but anyone who ever played for this man at AC knows and the community knows it now even more since he is the Head man... He loves the kids and if you give a man a chance, sometimes he can take talent that isn't there, show them that he's there to fight for them, before you know it.. you have the kids out there fighting and dying for that man in return. That's how the great coaches are born I believe. Kids have to be willing to lay it all on the line and believe every sentence, word, comma, and period that Coach writes or says.

Great game last night!....somehow this group keeps finding a way to win, the mark of a champion!...I was impressed with how different people on defense would step up! Markham and Baker were their usual rock steady selfs...the "O" line was impressive as well, giving Bradshaw and Kinnard the holes they needed to run through as well as giving Kinnard the time to make some timely passes...I think were still a little one dimensional, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!.....:biggrinjester:

sorry to hear about the voices in the crowd ROB. frustration is begining to set in and it seems to have opened up some old wounds, regarding the perceived decline in Bue Devil football over the last several years. i agree with you that coach McCurry is the right man for the job here. this is his FIRST season. Mooresville graduated 32 seniors off a team that lost in 3 OT's in the second round of the playoffs last year. alot of those kids had played varsity together for two years. very little was left for him to build upon this season. add the fact that we are now in the 4A IMECK and opened up non-conference play with NW Cabarrus, Bandys, AC and face defending 3A state champs, W. Rowan next week....its gonna be tough. looking down the road, there is Mallard Creek, W. Charlotte, N. Meck, Hopewell, Vance, Lake Norman, and throw in a Homecomning visit from Hibriten.

its gonna take some time. this team is young.

    how are we 0-3?

last nights game was a carbon copy of our woes. disasterous turnovers and penalties are killing any chance of winning....all products of inexperience. plus these teams that we are losing to are'nt exactly chopped liver, AC and Bandys are undefeated, and NWC only loss was at W. Rowan in week 2.

any news on Bradshaws injury? i know he didn't look 100% pretty much through the whole game. It'd be a loss to have him and chapman both out

He is going to be ok. As for Chapman he will start doing some light drills in the coming week. He might play on October 9th against Hickory.

thanks wise. I actually had the chance to talk to his parents at a rec football game this morning and the way they talked was that it was either turf toe or possibly a fracture plus he re sprained his ankle again.
