I heard that tonight against St Stephens, the starting QB for Hibriten injured his arm. Someone said that he broke it. I was at the Hickory/Foard game when I heard this.

As for that game, the backup QB and starting TE #11 Johnson (Austion Johnson's brother) was flagged because a Foard defender planted him in the ground. Johnson pushed him in the face as he got up and started yelling. Referee threw flag and then Johnson erupted and went after the official and was flagged with a back-to-back personal foul call which is an automatic ejection.

But I was wondering if anyone heard or has any news on the QB from Hibriten.

I was there at the game and it didn't look good for the quarterback, he was crying coming off the field and they had his arm in a air cast, and he left in a ambulance to go to the hospital, he could be out for a while

Hickory paper reported Coach Cannon said QB Walton had a dislocation in his shoulder or arm.

Dislocated elbow, no damage (out 2-3 weeks) the backup Isabell is more than capable of running the option plus he has a better arm....They'll be just fine.

I've seen both the starting and backup play and hibriten won't lose a step. As a matter of fact many think the backup is a tad better than the starter. For sure a better passer and can run as well. they have been using both during the games anyway

Back to Back 15 yard unsportsmanlikes is not an automatic ejection. Its a disqualification which means that player is out for the rest of the game but he does not have to sit out a suspension.

    Big difference.

Yea thats what has been said, the backup is better than the starter. If thats the case, then why is he the backup?

B/c Walton is a Sr. and he runs the option better than Isabell- But when needed Isabell can be subbed in, and he has enough game experience that I don't think they will miss much......but then again, I don't know why AC guys are trash talking Hibriten.

I'm not trash talking? I only said I heard the QB got hurt and was wondering how he was and would that take anything away from Hibriten. Believe me I respect the heck outa the Panthers and Coach Cannon. I remember scrimmaging and playing them bout 5-8 yrs ago and they have always been a great team. Sorry if you took the way I asked about them being trash talking because it wasn't. Trash talking would have been saying something stupid like "I guess Hibritens season went down the drain".

WHSPioneer. Srry for misquoting the rule I just remember something like that happening before and those ejections and disqualifications are odd and esp if your in the stands. Thanks for clearing up my screwup for everybody on here.

or maybe you could have the thread title say "Hibriten QB injury?" or "Thoughs for an injured player".....but no you posed the thread as if Hibriten would not be in contention b/c their QB got hurt.

Then all the AC fans (the only people posting here) came in to pile on.
