Can you say upset? I didn't think anyone in the conference could beat the K-town JVs, but it happened tonight. Hence the saying, "on any given night"!

We made a lot of mistakes and Hickory Ridge took advantage of all of them.

    They deserved the win!

    1st quarter
QB Damien Washington scored his first of 3 TDs on the night with a five yard run.
    7-0 K

    2nd quarter
Hickory Ridge came right back to tie the score on a short TD pass.
    K7, HR 7

QB Washington then got loose on a 60 yd TD run
    K14, HR 7

QB Washington then scored his third TD of the night on a 35 yard run.
K20, HR 7...It looked like we were on our way.

    3rd quarter...No score

    4th quarter
Hickory Ridge came back to score on a short run making the score K 20, HR 14.

Then the HR Bulls ran a halfback pass. The ball was perfectly thrown as the Hickory Ridge receiver had gotten behind the defender. It went for 82 yds. and the TD. K 20, HR 21

Hickory Ridge then intercepted a K-town pass on about the 30 yd. line in Kannapolis territory and ran it in. K 20, Hickory Ridge 28

K-town scored their final TD on a 48 td. run by RB Demetrius Jackson making the score 28-26. The WONDERS went for two with Jackson taking it to the cone. It sure looked like he crossed the line, but the ref signalled no good. But that's neither here nor there. We just made too many mistakes with penalities and the big int.

Congrats to the Ragin' Bulls JV!

    Go Baby Cougars

We've been to Watauga two years in a row now with the same result. Great job from the JV's.
