Couple of guys from the CC Prospects Anglers

    1. Zack Groves- 2010 OF from Northwood HS. 6.6 sixty, good glove. This guy covers alot of ground in the outfield. Has unbelievable speed and instincts. Would be a great pick up for any team.

    2. Brandon Mitchell- 2010 MIF from Wake Forest Rolesville HS. Great glove from either side of IF. 7.0 sixty, good gap power, natural opposite field hitter. A true leader on the field. Plays the game the way its supposed to be played.

    3. Michael Green- 2010 RHP-3B from Knightdale HS. This kid throws hard and has good secondary stuff. Left handed bat with lots of pop.

Any coach would love to have any of these guys. They will not be outworked.

Julian Ridings, OF- Crest. Saw him this past weekend. 6'3" throws right, hits left. 6.7-6.8 60. Great stroke, 5 tools. Can't believe he is still available. Don't know about grade situation but is worth taking a look at.

I agree. I saw him at Wingate this past weekend (Impact's Unsigned Senior event) & he was one of the players that stood out. Good speed & good stroke!

Nick can play and has played EVERY position on the diamond. He is the definition of a "ballplayer" and a "gamer". Nobody will outwork this kid and don't dare tell him that he can't do something. Every coach he has ever played for has always told him that they wish they had a team full of players with his heart and attitude. He will be the kid with the dirtiest uniform and the most cuts and bruises after a game. He flat out plays the game the way it was meant to be played. If you watch a game he is playing in you will not see a kid out there having more fun on the field than him. He is a GREAT teammate and makes everyone around him better. Very smart player and will make a heck of a coach one day.

    Pros:
    - Great student (not sure of current GPA, but it's over 3.5)
    - Smart ballplayer
    - Line drive/contact hitter
    - Rarely strikes out
    - Has played every position on the field at least once during his high school career
    - Fastball has been clocked at 84
    - Tough as nails behind the plate
    - Will do whatever it takes to win but is not a dirty player
    - Not afraid of anything

    Cons:
    - Never shuts up :)
    - Will drive opponents nuts with his nonstop chatter on the field and in the dugout
    - Not afraid of anything

*DISCLAIMER* I am biased because he's my son. But, I don't feel bad for promoting a player that will make a college coach somewhere very happy that he found this kid and has him on his team. He is a perfect case of unfortunately having parents that can't afford for him to play on the "flavor of the month" showcase team so he hasn't been able to show everyone what he can do. So if you know of a coach looking for a player that will bust his butt, produce and continue to improve...please send them to a Southern Lee game next spring.

    LHP Will Bullock-South Granville

Will is a lefty who cruises at 83 and has bumped 85 this fall. He has excellent control and his change-up has blossomed over the past 6 months. He shows great poise under pressure. His work ethic is fantastic. Several schools interested but he's still available and will be a plus for someone.

I remember seeing Bullock pitch summer '08. He is one of those lefties that "you just can't hit". Hope he finds a nice fit. He really knows how to pitch.
