Moss has to be the top pitcher in the state, hands down.

Did Creasy transfer to Garner or is he still at Clayton?

    Ben Morris

I noticed Ben's name on this thread regarding the top hitters in NC. Ben deserves more attention than just that of a good hitter. I've seen Ben play since he was 7 or 8 years old. Ben is a very focused, very athletic young man. He has played for the Diamond Devils for the past couple of years and started for RS Central as a sophomore. He was nominated for and made the State Games after his sophomore year. Ben recently attended the UNC winter camp and had a great showing going 2 for 3 (2B, 3B) off of very good pitching. Ben can hit, throw and run. He gets great jumps and runs great routes in the outfield. Most importantly he is a very respectful young man who has an iron will to get better.

All of this has led to Ben beginning to receive a lot of interest from some college recruiters. Some program will land a gem if they convince him to join their program.

    mountain boys hit too

Hasn't anyone heard of Chris Jones? Finishing up the fall season, Chris lead the "dirtbags" in plate appearances, runs, RBI's, doubles, total bats, slugging %, total points, and last but certainly not least-homeruns. He was the DH on his high school team (Enka) as a freshman and made the newspapers every time he played. Look forward to watching/hearing how he plays as a sopomore. Should be recruited heavily considering his GPA is a 5.0.
