''It was on pace to not even be close'' -- can you explain? Starting QB was out and you scored twice with second team QB then you never came close again. Total yards for game was ACR 349, AC 180. If anything had ACR scored the 2 times in the first half they could have, it would have been a blowout in the other direction. I feel for your team loosing like they did but please don't act like AC was far superior to ACR.

AC marched right down the field on their very first possession with Kinnaird in for the touchdown. it was 7 0. reynolds fumbled. ac got the ball back, kinnaird goes down, the very next play bowers throws a td pass. missed extra point made it 13 0. reynolds fumbled again. if kyle was still in the game, ac more than likely scores another td to make it 20 0. but instead they settled for a fg. they couldnt move the ball like they did on the first drive. the coaches shrunk the playbook when kinnaird went down. they took no chances besides the interception when they were driving out of THE I FORMATION. on that drive they took 5 mins off the clock and had 4 or 5 first downs. why they went away from that, ill never know. bowers played great, cant fault him, they shouldve let him take more chances than they did. but the defense dominated the whole game until they fell apart at the end. trick plays by reynolds got them all those yards. dont forget a pass play of 60 or 70. then the reverse wr pass got them within scoring distance. i still dont think the hb got in on 4th and goal from the 2. but oh well. AC dominated the game for 38 mins. reynolds dominated the other 10 mins. thats what he was saying.

I know what your saying. Believe me I support all the boys that play and played their hearts out. I never said they didn't play the entire game hard. I was saying the team has a whole didn't finish out the game. That involves players and coaches in that. I'm sure everybody is 2nd guessing themselves on what they could've done differently. I was just trying to get across that you can't say for certain they would have made it. I do think they would have had a great chance to, but just because Reynolds barely beat both Tabor and Dudley doesn't mean AC would have. If you ask me who I think would win those games, certainly I would say AC because I support those boys all the way and wouldn't trade their effort and determination for a second. I also know that weird things happen just like in the AC Reynolds game. Nobody would've thought that we would have all that negative happen to us in the 4th quarter, but it did. Don't get mad at me. You two should know as well as anybody on here from AC that I bleed and sweat blue & gold and I most certainly do remember my last game and that whole year as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is at the end of the year, theres only one team in our bracket that goes home happy. Should that have been us. I would have to agree with you all that yes it should have. The team as a whole failed to wrap the game up in Asheville and thus we are left here to support the other teams in the area. Best team doesn't always win. I guess that's what we have learned the most during this whole process. Sorry if it sounded like I wasn't supportive of our boys in the previous post. I just never have liked people saying "Well we should've beat them and they went all the way so we would've went all the way too." I believe AC could've. They just never got the chance to and so we can't say that. Mooresville was in and ahead of everyone of their games in the 2nd half. They wound up 0-11. Things like that is what I'm saying. I hope you get what I'm trying to say. I'm still a true blooded Cougar through and through and nothing will ever change that.

AC- the greatest "what if" team in the state?

Seriously, games are 4 quarters not 3. AC was never EVER good enough to win a state title- I'm sorry they just did not have the talent to do it- that was evident the last week of the regular season.

Gotta love the brotherly love, give him a hug and tell him you are proud of him, not talk about would of-could of's. You are adding to his (or maybe your own) misery.....

if ac isnt talented enough, then neither is acr. ac was just as good as them and better. still thinks the game against hibriten wouldve been much different with kinnaird. certainly not the blowout that it was.

Has it not come across your mind that ACR just had a bad game? or that they are lucky or that they are destined to be in this game(I hate saying it like that) . They got the job done but I know AC fans are strong but I agree just move on the game has been over for a month..There is no talking about it now and yes I remember the last game I played but I don't think it will HAUNT these boys like it has been said on here. JUST MOVE ON go watch basketball then baseball then next year come back to football

Gave him a hug..Told him i was proud. Still going talk about what if. Cause the fact is AC was good enough this year.

and for your smart little comment about my misery.im fine actually. Won 4 ball games my senior year and made tthe playoffs. we maximized our talent. so not sure how its my misery? Wanted my team to win just like i wanted the same for my brother and not just him have a few good senior friends. so thanks man if you dont know me dont assume stuff.

an ill talk about what if's with all my teams..What if Duke woulda signed John Wall this year or what if Lebron woulda went to college. What if Brady wouldnt tore his ACL? What if Barry Bonds didnt take steroids?.. sorry man but its a forum people. Do you watch ESPN? All they talk about is what if's an trade rumors and stuff that isnt for sure going to happen or stuff in the past..Or when a star player is hurt they say 'what if" he woulda played..or when bellicheck went for it against the Pats. did people move on? NO they asked him " WHAT IF"? to this day..so no offense as long as ppl will listen imma voice my OPINION on whatever. Could really careless if any one on here likes me or what. probaly want post much next year.

Sounds like the town needs a group hug. Feel sorry for the basketball team. Nobody watching in the gym, everyones still sitting at the football field.
