    All knowing ones:

In your opinion, what would be considered to be the premier/highest profile tournaments along the East Coast? This would include showcases and regular tournaments (excluding National Championship events).

Agreed, the only one I might add would be the Hot Times Classic in Florence SC, though for some reason this one has lost a little luster the last few years.

    I considered the Hot Times but . . .

from what I hear that one has slipped. Still probably worth the effort, particularly if you have kids looking to stay in the Carolinas.

    Why?

Why do people feel the Hot Time has "slipped"?

    My thoughts

And it depends on what you're looking for. There are several levels of showcases, but all necessary depending on where your kids want to go.
The Team NJ Summer and Fall tournaments and the Fall Rising Stars in Plantation FL are in a group all to themselves as far as the number of college coaches attending.
Then the next level would include the Dynamites, Cardinal Classic, Pennsbury.
The next, TNT, Jacksonville Storm Showcase, Cardinals Early Bird, Late Summer and East Coast, Southern Stars, Team NJ Challenge Cup, Hot Times, Chattanooga tournaments, and Music City Hits.
There are a lot of smaller regional tournaments that follow these.
Going a little farther west, The Sparks Showcase in IL is a large one as is the Ronald McDonald in Houston.

"it depends on what you're looking for"

    ......I agree with CardPal.

I've had the pleasure of attending a few of these gigs, Rising Stars was a trip! (Halloween in Ft. Lauderdale), Dynamites in Columbia SC is coach friendly for sure, Hot Times...yep, Florence is cool, well no,its hot as hell but its a nice tourney,....but to me if you're anywhere near Raleigh, the gigs that the Cards put on are well run, the fields are maintained,...and theres rocking teams year after year, Thats hard to beat.

NOW, if a new team thinks they'll just waltz in to the Cardinal Classic...Nope, best bet is to sign up as early as you can.

If I'm a player looking at academics first and have a list of schools I'm already considering, any tournament where one of those coaches from my list of schools can see me play.
