Got any for this new high school season?

    1) Resolve to be more positive with your son after games regardless of how he performed in the game........every major leaguer strikes out with the bases loaded and makes a key error once in a while.......your son needs you when he is down!!

I shall be far less critical of players and especially coaches.

Amen. Life is short. School sports is shorter. Took me a while to realize it but the last thing a kid needs is his parents on him when he has a tough day. There's a time and a place for teaching. It's not right after the game and hopefully the coach will handle the teaching part.

I learned this one a long time ago. Keeping it positive is the best thing you can do. I've seen kids mired in hitting slumps because of the pressure their dads were putting on them.

    Keep the jealousy in check

    3) Resolve to root for your son's teammates to do as well or better than your son even if it means that kid wins the team awards..........these guys are probably going to be his life long friends.

One of my resolutions is to cut back at the concession stand during games. No more making visits between every inning. Have you ever noticed that there aren't any "I"'s in: Gatorade, hot dogs, peanuts, M & M's, sunflower seeds, water, popcorn, candy bars, hot chocolate, & cheeseburger? This "I" business could be good for the ole wallet.:FODIFeedMe3:

There may not be any "I's" in what you listed... but all those things end up in I... err... me!
