Well....let me preface this by saying you always hate to hear about people who get sick and die, and how wonderful they were in life and how we miss them, and as great men this movie was inspired by I think based on the premise of the movie it misses the boat on softball. From reading the premise of the movie it's about coaches who lead their teams, and I think the real story of the game of softball gets lost in the drama surrounding the lives of the coaches, not about the game. And the titile...C'mon.

So what would I do a movie about? How about something about the REAL nerve of softball. An angle with the GIFTED athletes who NEVER get a hang nail and become studs, against the underdog who struggles through injuries and "she hasn't got it" and plays against the studs and gains respect from hard work, the drama of daddy ball, how to stay focused with a can do attitude when others just want to tear you down. How the lessons learned from the game transend the game itself into useful tools for adulthood. Just sitting here thinking about my own experiences and those of friends and people I've met through the game.....I should write my own book. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly....LOL!

I have a great ending. The stud player and the hard worker become friends at the end, with one reaching her dream of a scholarship, and the other reaching her dream of Med School. How through the drama of right and wrong they forged lasting relationships, and learned alot about themselves and life in the process. Make people feel good about THE GAME at the end, wanting to go PLAY the game and promote it and make it even better. Give folks a REAL reason to put softball back into the Olympics based on a more authentic meaning.

The drama of this movie should have been more directed about inner workings of the game and it's applications. Sorry but I think this movie misses the boat. Looks like another "Brian's Song".

Well it's ok to agree to disagree but everyone hast to start somewhere you really didn't understand my post ! This is the first FP movie all other movies are for boys and men finally something for girls and women .But as long as people are negitive Hollywood will keep doing the same old movies and the male atheletes will continue to be over paid and females under paid I guess you don't have a daughter, and you are a Hollywood Director maybe you will make a FP movie !!!! :58:

I didn't misunderstand your post, and I'm sorry if you think my opinion of the premise of the moving is negative. But I think you MISUNDERSTOOD my post. Why do people keep making excuses to do something half baked just to do it. Oh..well it's the first one. If you're going to make ANY movie, why not do it right from the beginning. Raise the dang gum bar just a tiny bit. Put something out there that people will notice that truly represents that game, not a rehashed Brian's Song. I do have a DD who loves the game, and I'm not a hollywood director, just a Dad who learned a little bit about the game through his DD and works to try to bring something positive to it, without all the BS.

This movie has been "filming" / "in-production" for how many years now?

I know that some movies take a while to finish, but I think this one is on the way to setting a new record. Assuming it makes it out at all.
