The Central Piedmont may be more interesting this year with Reagan as an obvious front runner and North Davidson always has a great team.
Last year Reynolds didn't have a great team but still pulled off a surprise victory or two.
who do yall think will lead the conference?

I'm not sure I would say Reagan is an obvious frontrunner. I think North Davidson, Mt. Tabor, and West will outplay Reagan. Davie will be tough with a lot of returning hitters. North Davidson will be the frontrunner with Secrest, Ramsey, Lassiter, Murphy, Adkins and they just added Christian Bailey from East Forsyth. They are the most complete team in the conference. Pitching, defense and hitting. Mt. Tabor has their middle infield returning along with Morton, Vogler and Dawson. They will need a pitcher to step up and replace Batts and Thomas. West lost a lot when Griffin and Alberts tranferred to FCD. They should have decent pitching with Mayhew and Currie. Holt will lead them at the plate. Reagan will need some pitching to come together after they lost their best arm (Culbreth) to FCD. I'm not sure they have the bats and pitching to hold off North, West or Mt. Tabor.

    Interesting ??

When you look at Triad's response to the CPC outlook, what is the first thing you notice. That is right, transfers to FCD. I'm sure hoping those guys made a wise decision because I know of one that does not like it and wants to return to his home school. Those losses of players will not affect the CPC at all. They are some very talented players who are going on to Division I schools like Blake, Holt, Mayhew, Currie, and others. The conference is wide open but hitting will be at a premium but dominating pitching is just not there yet. Good arms but few who can go 7 and dominate a team. Good luck to all and have a great season.

Yes, transfers to FCD, How many were red-shirted but yet had good grades? And the Supt of WSFC schools continues to support FCD playing in the city county tournaments. I am sure all of them transferred for educational reasons, none of them left because of the the premier showcase coach is the coach there.:lolly:

The CPC will again be very competitive as always. I think North Davidson and West Forsyth are the front runners. North Davidson with Sechrist, Ramsey and Tippett on the hill are strong. Lassiter,Murphy and transfer Bailey will lead the offense. The FCD transfers Griffin and Alberts did hurt the Titans offense and their pitching staff. But Mayhew and Currie are very good pitchers. Holt and Clark will have huge years swinging the bat. Davie and Mt Tabor will compete in most games. Davie has Herndon, Barber, Watson, Long and others who always play hard. Tabor lost 98% of their innings pitched on varsity. But have returning starters Flachofsky and Lawson up the middle again, Morton in center and Vogler behind the plate. Seniors MacIntosh and Flachofsky will be counted on pitching with jr. Nunn getting alot of innings. Reagan has Blake who might be the best hitter in the league, pitching will be their biggest concern.Winkler will be a very good pitcher for them. RJR always competes, with Welch as their coach and my MVP pick Connor Andrus, they will give you a fit.

CPC's wide open. North Davidson probably has the slight edge as far as talent above the rest of the league but anything can happen. Mount Tabor, Reagan, and West all have the talent to win the conference and Davie always plays hard and can beat almost anybody and Reynolds always seems to steal a few games from the top teams in the league. But my final prediction is Mount Tabor, Reagan, North Davidson, West Forsyth, Davie, RJR.

gatorfan i wouldnt necessarily say west forsyth has had a lack of coaching in the past 7-10 years. in 2002 they were 27-4 and won the western regional championship and only had one Division 1 player in Erik Walker. That year they also won the conference, conference tourny, and the WSFC tourney. they also won the conference championship in 2004, 2005 and 2007 and were tournament champions in 2004 and 2005. not to mention in 2004 they finished in the top 8 and in 2005 the top 4 in NC. they also won the WSFC tourney in 2008 against a very tough Mt. Tabor team and won the 2009 conference championship last year as well before finding one of their players physicals ran out a week early. the cpc is a very tough and competitive conference year in and year out with North Davidson, Mt. Tabor, and the rest of the teams always being very competitive, so winning titles in this league is tough to come by. but by these statistics over the last 10 years i would say west forsyth is one of the top programs in the county!

yankees2 and gator fan u guys seem to have a lot knowledge of the cpc conference, which i haved no dog in the fight. It seems like it is going to be a very good conference and i do know the schools are well known for their baseball. The reason i am writing anything is because i think it was immature and horseshit to call out the players and coaches in a public forum like this. The coach i don't know but the players i do and they are good people who made decisions that has nothing to do with you. If you have a problem with them confront them one on one and not on a public forum behind a sceen name. Usually i wouldnt say anything but it is becoming all to common with the negative talk about people, organizations etc: this need to stop guys or girls behind a screen name we have know idea. Braves and other mediators forgive my language. I will try to keep it civil for now on.

ND is not the Class of the CPC! They have a good program, but to business like! It's High School!
ND will be the front runner this year in baseball (and have a solid program) with MT and WF competing for 2-3. Davie and Reagan will battle for 4-5. And RJR bringing up the hind end!
As far as Griffen, and Alberts - they sold out!!!! Bottom line. They went with a promoter, not a coach, that said he would get them a better deal! If you are good they will find you! I know the colleges coaches are frowning on this. Poor decision, and hope it bites them in the hind end!
WF coaching staff needs to be looked at - at what.... all the cpc banners, city/county tournament champs, and playoff WINS they have accumulated.
Hope the CPC has a very good year!
