It's kind of fun to weigh in on this topic each year. You get so many different opinions and I will later, but I'd like to segue into a tournament that will satisfy many showcase people's interest...and that is the premiere summer event of the year. Woodstock Midnight Bash!!!---where all teams mentioned will be participating, as well as a few more that have not been mentioned that are certainly some of the best teams in our state. It's a very exclusive event that will have teams playing against each other that rarely do so. I can promise you this--there has not been and probably never will be again an event like this. Bring your blankets, tents, RV's, tie dyed shirts and some dancing shoes while watching the Canes, Panthers, Cubs, On Deck, CBC and other top quality teams get after it against each other in front of 2,000+ fans and every college scout in the SE

The fact is that there are several teams from North Carolina that regularly place at the top of national tournaments. The Canes, the Cubs, the Dirtbags and the Panthers all made it at least to the quarterfinals in national tournaments last year. They all are succeeding on the field with different philosophies. You can argue about which approach works best for which kid all day long. However, no one can argue with the success of these 4 organizations. Personally, I root for all of them, and other NC teams, when the big time events come around. They all do our state proud.

By the way, watch out for CBC in the future. With their facilities and leadership they're gonna be a national power (its simply a question of when, not if).

It's the coaches. the players would love to play each other. There to worried about impact and Dynamic baseball and which one pulls more weight. If one organization wins more they would have more prestige and other organizations would want to play in their tournaments.

All of the showcase programs mentioned in this thread seem to be doing a good job getting their players college offers, which I guess would be the # 1 goal. With so many good showcase programs that originate out of the Carolina's and Virginia, I'm surprised a National Tournament hasn't been started in North Carolina, like what goes on in East Cobb. It would be a huge success, and would attract teams from all over the east Coast! A good majority of North Carolina players are going to stay in North Carolina anyway to play college ball. There's no shortage of small tourneys in North Carolina now. Every weekend, there's a tourney going on in numerous locations. Maybe Woodstock can be the beginning of something big!

why do the cubs have to go out of state to beat other teams. They beat the dirtbags and canes last year 2-0. The canes only had around 3 hits against the cubs and 2 of those hits came from one kid. If I remember they had 14 k's. Good job Josh F. great pitching
