You are right about that! If the spring is like this fall, Watchout Rocky Mount, CBA, Triton, and any listed. He def had his game on! But from what I understand, just a positive kid any and everywhere. Doesn't get defeated easily. Played with the Carolina Cubs during fall, not a shabby team at all. 3A should be fun this year.

THE ECC WILL BE JUST AS TOUGH AS THE BIG EAST. FROM TOP TO BOTTOM THE ECC WILL BE A TOUGHER CONFERENCE. IMO THE ECC WILL HAVE PITCHING THAT CAN MATCH THE BIG EAST. JOSH FRED MAY BE THE BEST PITCHER IN BOTH CONFERENCES. HE STRUCK OUT 14 CANES BATTERS THIS FALL. HE WAS A PLEASURE TO WATCH THAT GAME.

Okay, big t. The Big East has Benton Moss & Hobbs Johnson (from Rocky Mount) and William Prince (Wilson Fike) just to name 3. Who are the top pitchers in the ECC that can match those three. I agree with you that the ECC should be a tough conference from top to bottom. It's a new conference & every member is traditionally strong in baseball. I agree with you, also, that Josh Frederick is very good. Who are the top pitchers from each team in the ECC?

I agree with the description of Josh Frederick. The kid went from being a blip on the radar to being a full scale recruit. I just wish he remembers who were on him at first.....

I'm pretty sure South Johnson has a kid Jernnigan going to state
Triton has a couple of kids that throw hard and played for the cubs an d have offers at colleges
    EW has Freddy and Mozingo
    Aycock has Dubose, Hollowell
North Lenoir has Bass and sure will have someone I don't know about
Southern Wayne don't know anything about them good coach

The point is that the ECC has the pitching to compete against the big east. It's a matter who scores more runs and what the umpires are calling. If umpires are calling balls out of strike zone they can make any pitcher look good. They can all be hit just be patient and swing at strikes.

You forgot something Wilson Hunt. Lee, Strickland, and another kid. Watch out for Hunt could win the big east. They have fielding and hitting.

No, I haven't forgot Wilson Hunt. They'll have a good team. Alot of players returning from last year. Zack Lee, Sam Strickland, Kyle Pittman, Ches Lamm, Jacob Hackney, Avery Harper, Zach Houchins, Cody Britt, etc. all return. All their pitching returns from last year. I believe Hunt will be playing both Aycock & Eastern Wayne on their non-conference schedule, so we'll get a Big East vs. ECC matchup right away.

I don't think anybody would argue with you that the ECC can compete with the Big East in baseball. There's good pitching in both conferences. I was pointing out players on the upper end of the pitching spectrum (Moss, Johnson, & Prince) who will be going on to pitch for Division 1 programs in the future. Elsewhere in the Big East there's talent:

Rocky Mount: Hobbs Johnson, Benton Moss, Parker Helms, Matthew Berry
Wilson Fike: William Prince, Mitchell Wheeler, Michael McLawhorn
Wilson Hunt: Ches Lamm, Sam Strickland, Jacob Hackney, Zack Lee
    Southern Nash: Kyle Shields
Northern Nash: Brandon Denton, Jeremy Lucas
    Nash Central: TJ Taylor
I probadly left out somebody. Alot of good pitching in both conferences. Most likely, an ECC team will face a Big East team in the Eastern Finals.
