Did yu see the website of the canes 2010 team built to win championships!!!!! little cocky. Your exactly right they get kids from 5 different states.

The funny thing is that they pretty much have the same team as last fall and they couldn't win in those tournaments. Fort Meyers they didn't make the top 16 but south canes did. In Jupiter the were creamed with the same team they have in 2010. So. are they built to win championships??????

    My 2 cents:

I have been fortunate enough to have 2 sons sign with college programs since 2005.We have had extensive experience with both the dirtbags and hurricane programs.I can say with no uncertainty that that both my boys put themselves on the college maps by their participation in major events with both groups.I also know thru our travels on the long and winding road of showcase ball over the years that there are several top notch programs within this state, most have been mentioned in this thread already. I have seen them all, and on any given day any of the top programs can compete with each other, and most all of the kids on these programs rosters go on to play college baseball.I have had conversations with both college and pro scouts and they are always impressed with the talent level that these programs are able to maintain year in and year out.
I believe that each program builds their program in a way that is unique to the priciples of their organizations, be it winning championships or simply exposing their players to as many college coaches as possible with-out reguard tp wins and losses.Irreguardless the kids are all winners due to these opportunities and the respect shown to these programs by the colleges.
I believe we in baseball are very fortunate to have ALL these showcase programs, spanning the state offering these young men these experiences both on and off the field that they will remember the rest of their lives.
I know my family respects them all, no matter what their mission statement may be,my kids where very lucky to play with and against them all........
    Yes very fortunate indeed !

Look again they recruit from 7 states. They should be good. Who cares how they do! The bottom line is kids getting exposure so they can get an education and a chance to keep playing the game. That'swhat it is about!!

Success stories about what? Mary Jo Higgonbottom? Nope...she turned me down in 1971--haven't seen her since.

Hey, I know her! Sweet girl. You know, an actual success story about someones son playing for one of these showcase teams, & actually getting a spot on a college squad somewhere.:sunny: If your son played with any showcase program & will get the opportunity to play in college, then that's a success story.

This is without a doubt the most comical post I've seen in my brief time on this board. Regardless of any showcase mentioned, they would mop the floor with ANY legion post. Baseball is a fluky game, and a Legion team may win one every now and then, but in a 3 game series any showcase team mentioned would beat any legion team EVERY time. Showcase baseball is the way to go, and luckily kids today understand that. (For the most part)
