My DD read this and loved it. As critical as we sometimes can get we do feel grateful for the coaches we have/had that make us feel like champions. It really is contagious.

There is a ton of truth in the two quotes above!

The best advice I ever got personally was about a little BBQ joint down east... Man! that place was good!

So she went hitless and made a couple of errors. Let it go. Find the good in what she did and she will enjoy the game more.

    Thank you sir

WndMillR you gave my DD some advice. I know you talk to players everyday and can't remember all that you talk too. I remember and she did also what you said in Burlington, you told her to pick the school that would make her better and not the school that she would make better. I will always be grateful. You are a true COACH.

It's so simple. Pick a school with education in mind first, and one that offers the level of play equal to or lesser than your DD second. Contact the coach, tell them your interest, let them come see your DD play. I tell people all the time that if God has planned it for you it will happen. Just be yourself and stay the course, and be happy.

Don't know there was any particular advice that stood out, but there is one thing I learned I wish had known from the start......

The time you have with your kids pass in a moment. It is much too brief. Cherish every second!!!
