Parents: What is the best advice you ever got?

    Don't be stubborn when soembody tries to give you advice that has been down this road !! Your time with your kid does go by fast, and yes they are gone !! I'm working with 12u's right now,and I'm constantly telling my parents please give hugs & kisses every chance you get !!!

    You hit the nail on the head with this. Few places we went to that kind of support just wasn't there. Once or twice people were down right nasty and I never understood why any parent or coach coaching would treat a kid that way. Why have them? But you'll look the other way sometimes just to be able to work.

    One thing my DD said to me recently about the hard times....."Dad. looking back I wouldn't change a thing. Even my torn ACL. Mentally, it made me so strong." It's important to make them feel like champions everyday even when others don't.
