    we'll see what happens

    Will be interesting, to see what happens as the year plays out. Will any from the ACC or other schools in NC make it to the WS? Would be great for SB in NC if one did.

    That said, the ACC has not shown well recently in playoffs but have some quality teams that could advance. Va Tech got real close a couple years ago. UNC, Fla State, Va Tech, Ga Tech, and NCSU could all make some noise with a few breaks but they will need to get hot at the right time.:SPcheer006cheerbril

    VT was in the WCWS in 2008

    VT with AT was in OKC in '08. This year? No ACC team stands out. GT has the offense but is probably a bit short in the circle. UNC has the ACC's best player in Dani Spaulding but question marks in the circle behind her and on offense. FSU has some highly touted freshmen but probably not enough overall strength to make the final eight. VT could make the regionals if UT transfer and former L Blue Ashton Ward is in good form. NC State is still a year away from being a post-season qualifier.
