    Coming on Febuary 13th, McDowell County's Premiere Batting and Agility Center for baseball and softball. This 14,000 sqaure foot building includes 8 batting cages, 6 sock nets for soft toss and tee work, 2 pitching mounds for baseball, 2 pitching mounds for softball, 2000 sqaure feet dedicated to agility training, a video room for reviewing swings, pitching etc, a lounge, oliptical machines and treadmills for parents waiting, professional instruction.     I went by the grand opening today at The Dugout and I was impressed by what I saw...there seemed to be a great reponse from the folks in the community as quite a crowd showed up.

    This facility, as braves stated, has been greatly needed in the area for while. I know a lot of the baseball kids here in McDowell County travel to Asheville or the Hickory area to get their extra time in.

    I hope this venture works out for the three indivuduals who made it possible...they have definitely spent the time and resources to provide a service for the local youth.
