Don't know how much they hurt but really don't need to be there. This should be a time for the girls to be together and if one has her boyfriend they are almost always seperated from the rest. Best for them to stay away time for them latter. As for the cell phones our team takes up all phones before warmups begin and give them back after post game meeting. We let them have them between games. don't see any harm in that, something to pass the time with

How serious about softball are they if they allow a boyfreind to distract them. Are we raising our ladies to be weak, lack self-respect, and have no self-control? (Plus the boys are useful in fetching the gatorade.)

If the rule is no cell phone useage during a game, shouldnt that be enough? When do we stop wiping their noses and let them be responsible for their actions?

No not really... not sure how you interpreted my comments. I guess I just expect people to respect the rules.
If they want to bring their boyfriend the expectation is that the boyfriend is just a spectator and she should still be apart of her team.

If the 16 yr old girl has a BF that is really good looking, send him over to the other dug out and let him set next to it. Strike up a conversation with one of the players..the P or C..... game over..... Hint Hint hint

I like the way your thinking. This would definitely make for a great Jerry Springer Show

Now that would be funny! LOL:lach:
