    Just got word that the first round games at Watauga WILL be played today as scheduled. Must say I am pleasantly shocked. Hopefully the girls will be ready.

    Got a schedule for this tournament? I heard the 4A side would be at McDowell.

    Girls: #1 (Erwin) vs #4 (Enka) at 3:30
    Boys: #1 (Enka) vs #4 (Erwin) at 5:00
    Girls: #2 (NB) vs #3 (Asheville) at 6:30
    Boys: #2 (NB) vs #3 (Asheville) at 8:00


    Friday, Febraury 19

    Girls: #1/#4 winner vs #2/#3 winner at 6:30
    Boys: #1/#4 winner vs #2/#3 winner at 8:00




    MAC 4-A Tournament:

    ALL games will be at McDowell


    Thursday, February 18

    Girls: #2 (McDowell) vs #3 (TCR) at 6:30
    Boys: #2 (Reynolds) vs #3 (TCR) at 8:00


    Friday, February 19

    Girls: #1 (Reynolds) vs winner of #2/#3 at 6:30
    Boys: #1 (McDowell) vs winner of #2/#3 at 8:00

    Interesting...They could play a 3A-4A title game in the early afternoon in order to get the results to the NCHSAA for the sectional pairings that would come out later that evening.

    The main reason to split was due to the fact that Erwin could potentially play as many as five games this week. The NCHSAA wouldn't sign-off on that so that's why the decision was made to split.

    Watauga Women knock off Fred T Foard tonight 64 to 51. The Watauga Men beat South Caldwell 75-64. The NW4A Women's Semi-Finals for today have been postponed and will be played tomorrow. These are the game times- WHS Women vs South Caldwell at 4:00, WHS Men vs Hibriten at 5:30, Hickory Women vs Saint Stephens at 7:00, Hickory Men vs Saint Stephens at 8:30. You can hear all of Watauga's games live on 100.7 MAC FM with Mike Kelly and Daniel Clark providing the coverage from Hickory High.

    1 seed Freedom meets 2 seed Shelby Friday night in Morganton for the
    tournament championship.

    Freedom/Shelby outta be an interesting game tomorrow night.



    In MAC 3A action, Erwin beat Asheville today to get the top seed in the MAC 3A tourney which starts tomorrow at North Buncombe.
