How are things looking for the teams of the SPC this year? NWC lost a total of 17 players through graduation and the opening of Cox Mill High. Pitching and infield should be strengths. The outfield and catcher position will be question marks until some experience is gained.

I'll take a preseason shot at it...In my opinion, if the SPC gets 4 playoff berths they will be: Mount Pleasant, Northwest, Robinson, and Concord...having said that I would also say that the rule of each team playing the same conference opponent twice in one week will shake things up...example scenario: what if two teams are battling for top of the conference and one team's ace pitcher is injured the one week they play each other twice? This rule really exposes teams bullpens. Great rule in my opinion.

tell us about him and any of the other players you are familiar with in the SPC...On Deck is a well respected showcase organization and has several players scattered throughout the conference.

One of my favorites is Tyler Sciaudone, 2011 P, Robinson...tall lean frame, hard worker, worked his way back from injury to get back on the mound. He should contribute plenty of innings for the Bulldogs this spring.

I hear he is moving to the outfield this year. I hope he can settle in quickly, the outfield IMO is the biggest question mark for NWC.
