    Patton 3 McDowell 2 in a thriller.

Dykota Spiess outduels Joey Duncan, who pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts and only one walk.

Extra base hits for Titans include double by Eli Miller and double by Justin O'Dear.

    ------------------------------------

Roberson 10 Alexander Central 6 in a back and forth battle.

Winning pitcher Alex Ledford scores tie-breaking run in the 6th on a double by Matt Fernandez.

Other extra base hits include triple by Kevin Price and double by Carson Bryant.

    -------------------------------------

Owen 16 Asheville 11, 325 rushing yards - oh wait, it was a baseball game. Five errors did not help the Cougar cause.

Hit parade for Asheville includes bomb by Quintin Roberts, two doubles each by Jeff Hutchins and Hunter Lischez.

    -------------------------------------

North Buncombe-West Henderson froze out Friday in Weaverville; game moved to 4 p.m. Saturday at West.

West Henderson tops North Buncombe 8-7 in the freeze makeup game.

    Reynolds thumps North Henderson 12-0.

Errors doom McDowell in its 5-4 loss to Owen.
