David Shank also had a bases loaded double in the 4th. The Viking third baseman had a huge 5 RBI game. Way to go Shanky!

    Cuthbertson Vs Bery Academy

    Cuthbertson HS 10 - Berry Academy 0

Preston Morrison - WP - Pitched all 6 innings

    Cameron Tekker 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, 2 RBI's, 3 runs
John Mangum - 2 for 4 with a double and triple and a HBP, Not sure about Runs and RBI's; he had several
Peter Hendel - triple and hope someone can add more

The bats started working tonight and pitching was where it needed to be. Morrison was definitely hitting his spots this evening. Even if the umpire could't tell. Ha.

Next game should be A.L.Brown on Thursday if the rain gods don't show up.

UPDATE - Just found out that the pitching really was working! Preston Morrison had 13 K's and only 2 hits! Nice job on the bump!
    Cuthbertson is now 2 - 0.

    Kinston 10 South Lenoir 0

Kinston finally gets to play it first game and gets off to a good start against county rival South Lenoir. This team has the potential to be the best team that Kinston has fielded in some time. Pitching looked good, defense looked good, and they went through 3 or 4 pitchers that SL threw at them. They hit the ball well 1-9.
