    SPC shows well:

Robinson pushes Weddington to extra innings and looses by one in the 9th

Mount Pleasant and Mooresville go extra innings with Mount winning in the ninth 11-10

Good showng by both SPC teams playing two solid out of conference teams.

    Concord over Northwest

    Robinson over Kannapolis

all four teams split their two game conference series this week

The conference design for each team to play interconference foe twice in same week is going to make for a very tight race. Great rule.

This was a pitching "jewel", both Pitchers didn't allow a hit until the 7th inning. John J Tuttle had a perfect game going until with 1 out in the bottom of the 7th, Robinson's 2B Daniel Federicci "fists" a weak grounder back to Tuttle who fielded it, threw to 1B and he drops it. (Credit to the runner for running it out, he had struck out in his other 2 AB's) The catcher then hits a routine pop fly to right and the fielder never picked it up, it lands 5 feet behind him (He gets a hit, fielder never saw it). Now runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out and cleanup batter at the plate, instead of an Int. walk for a force at home. Robinson's 1B Dillion Ashburn singles in the winning run. Robinson's P #9 Brady Kohorn (check spelling on this last name, if anyone knows let me know) battled Tuttle blow for blow in this one, allowing only a 2 out single to Kannapolis 2B Justin Kidd.

    Pitchers Line:
    Brady Kohorn - (Win) 7IP 2BB 1HBP 1ROE 1Hit 11K's
    John J Tuttle - (Loss) 6-1/3IP 0BB 1ROE 2Hit 11K's

Both of these Pitchers were in control, hate to see either lose!

Tuttle and May will give Kannapolis a chance to win every game they pitch,,, but for Kannapolis to actually win a lot of these tight games, they'll need to get more consistent with their hitting and defense.

Pay back is heck, especially in conference play. Concord returns the favor as the Spiders come back to win tonight's game in the bottom of the 7th. inning. Rob Bain (NWC) had a tremendous outing going the entire way, fanning 8 batters but still getting the loss. NW will need to regroup quickly, conference favorite Mt. Pleasant visits NW next Tuesday.

    NWC:
    William Miller 1-4, Run
    Justin Seager 1-4, DBL, RBI
    Taylor West 2-3, DBL, RBI
    Weston Smith 1-3, DBL, RBI
    Tanner Black 1-3, Run

    Concord:
    Eric Brenk 2Run HR

I agree with you 100%, these 2 have a combined 24-1/3 innings allowing 3 earned runs and 39 K's and they are 2-2? Defense, Base running and hitting have been the reasons for the 2 losses. The line-up needs to be adjusted and too many errors in RF and 1B. Hopefully Coach Thompson will make some changes and get away from the "Seniors get the starts" attitude. We have playmakers on the bench that can turn it around, just hope we don't wait to long.

Congrats to Northwest,,, huge win for the Trojans. Gotta be honest, I figured MP to be class of the league, although I figured NW 2nd. NW can definitely get in drivers seat with sweep on Friday, and MP can't afford to drop 2 games to NW this early in season,,,,,,,,,,,,, where are they playing Friday? NW or MP? Thanks.
