This has to be an upset. any details? I thought the 3A part of our conference would be a battle between St. and Hibriten but now looks like Foard will make it a 3 way battle

    You want Details

    Fred T Foard 4 (WP-Lexi Shubert 13 k's, 2 hitter)
    St Stephens 0 (Wakefield 12 K's, 3 hitter)

Lexi Shubert (freshman) pitched an outstanding ball game.
Wakefield had 3 BB, 2 hits, 1 error, pass ball in the 1st inning. She pitched great the final 6 innings. Must say umpire was really bad for both teams, had to throw ball down the middle for a strike and then sometimes wouldn't even call that a strike. Girls didn't know what to swing at.

Thats alright we learn from losing, we will be back even better.

I knew the secret would not be well kept for long, and I bet these 2 teams have some more good battles this year.

Hi Larry. Around some...not on board a whole lot this last year, just checking scores once in a while. No need to post if someone has done it for ya and Greg had taken care of it as he should since it was a home game for them. Hopewell played very well as always. Kelly Braman and Stephanie both stick out in my mind having some nice AB's. There were many more for them. We definitely had a tough day and cannot say that butt whooping has ever happened to us before, but hey, a first time for everything and always an opportunity to learn something. We are enjoying our team very much and having as much fun as ever. We have some awesome players and a young battery staff that are getting better every game. We are still finding our groove, but its getting there as we lost some wonderful ball players last year. Elena Covert, Meredith Brami, Erin Quant, Sarah Casella and Jenna McClintock have all stepped up and are doing a great job leading and playing. There is your 2010 update, so enjoy.

Pardon for missing yesterday's game and I will miss more as I am spending more time working at night and trying to get to my ladies college games when I can. Coach S is taking care of the game posts as she has created a nice new website for the PHS Softball Program and our folks get their information there now.

Have fun with it, I'm sure your keeping up. Oh, we did win our game v. South Meck last night since you are interested. See ya around.

Gonna be interesting to see how the Lady Patriots will do in the new conf. this year, especially after graduating 8 seniors from last years team.
