    WP: Hobbs Johnson. He and Matthew Berry combined on the 5 inning no hitter.
    LP: Ryan Howell

    RM hit 5 Homeruns on the day. 2 by Taylor Clontz and 1 each by Matthew Berry, Spencer Bell, and Thomas Berry.

    We ran into a buzzsaw today. Our pitchers only walked three batters and we had only one error all night. Rocky Mount just hit the ball well and found a home with it all night. They played an excellent game. We will just have to work hard to get better and be ready for our next game Friday night.

    RR is now 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

    RM is just that good. Sounds like your pitchers and defense did their part, and RM just hit the ball on the nose and found the holes. And Hobbs is a great pitcher, he will do that to other people, too. Don't feel bad..

    East remains undefeated at 7-0. Statesville beat #4 Hickory last week. East has allowed 2 earned runs this season.

    Statesville also lost game 1 of that double-header 10-0 vs. #4 Hickory.

    Rocky Mount sweeps Greenville Rose this year

    Benton Moss was on top of his game today tossing a complete game as the Gryphons defeated the Rampants 7-1......Chase McDonald with a big time bomb in a huge ball park for Rose lone run. Collins Cuthrell had the game winning 3 run homer for the Roooocky's.
