Again, talk to your coaches; they are the ones responsible for their team. But let your DD make the final decision; it's a two-way street. She is old enough at this point in her life to know what is important to her. Her's will be the right decision.

    Read carefully!

I said it is obvious you have never had one of those medal placed around your neck, not your daughters!

No unfortunately, she has not. As a freshman I do not think we knew anything about the state games, our school did not inform us about it. Her sophomore year we were playing in the dynamite classic and then last year as a junior she was injured and unable to play. Hopefully we can work it all out! Thanks so much! :)

Why is it obvious? Because I think there are other things in a young girls life than softball? You may not know as much as you think. Believe it or not I was a young girl once so I know a little more about that than you do. Besides she could probably go to the beach and come back and still play. From what I understand last year no cuts were made in the senior west games and they were begging people to play.

    Exactly

It's not POP's job to send out memos to all softball players in N.C. it is the reponsibility of the players coach to do so...POP is one heck of a guy that cares about every kid that's why he is where he is today..

Just like anything else in life, if you truly love and enjoy something and put in the work to be the best you can be, there is no better feeling than being recognized as the champion. That is one of the feelings of having that Gold Medal placed around your neck.

There may be some young ladies who would argue that Pop does indeed know more about young girls than you think.

From the records, I don't think the West seniors have to do much begging.

The State Games are an excellent opportunity for the girls and for the sport. It will continuously improve. I would give serious consideration to playing in the Games. Follow the rosters; these girls are going on to greater things.
