    Central Cabbarus - 5 Kannapolis - 4

The "Wonders" lose again in the last inning due to defense. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Dylan May strikes out batter for the second out. Catcher throws down to 1B, (the runner was "baiting" a throw), first baseman throws back to home and is way off mark and allows runner on 3rd to score tying run. With 2 out and runner on 2nd, leadoff batter hits a liner to CF, which is almost caught by a diving Zach Jones. Game over. Alex Brandon started for Kannapolis to get some work and did a good job allowing only 2 base runners, 1 BB and 1 HBP, in 2-1/3 innings. Dylan May struck out 11 in the loss.

    Kannapolis - 1 1 0 0 2 0 0 = 4
    Central Cab - 0 0 0 1 2 0 2 = 5

    Pitchers:
    Kannapolis
    Alex Brandon - 2-1/3 IP - 8 AB -1 K - 0 H - 1 BB -1 HBP
    Dylan May - 4-1/3 IP - 20 AB - 11 K's - 4 H - 2 BB

    Central Cabarrus
    Justin Lee - 7 IP - 30 AB - 8 K's - 7 H - 0 BB - 1HBP

    Top Hitters:
    Kannapolis
    Wes Honeycutt 2-4 (RBI Double)
    John J Tuttle 1-3 (2 RBI Double)

    Central Cabarrus
Justin Spinks 1-4 (Game winning Single)
Brandon Porter 1-3 (Solo HR off May)

Neither team hit the ball well at all and both teams seemed flat.

Neither team should've been flat considering the magnitude of the game this early in the season,,,,, a NW win would've meant a sweep for NW over MP and basically would've put MP playing catchup and needing help from others the rest of the year. This game was huge.

I didn't make the game (I planned to, but work changed my plans), but if there was no hitting, it sounds like 2 pitchers may have had nice games. I know the Bain kid pitched well for NW the previous week in a tough loss to Concord (prob should've been pulled in the 7th with a lead). May I ask who were the pitchers in this 2-0 game?
