LOL.....you should have been at my game last night....Wilson Hunt vs Farmville Central

 

I was playing in that game and saw the play as Dirty Mo did. I was in perfect position (fortunately) to see the catcher in question step out and to the right when he heard "squeeze!" and the pitcher threw it high and out (as he should). When the catcher subsequently stepped out, he caught the ball at the back shoulder of the hitter, ran into the batter who stepped out of the box, and tagged the runner.

 

So, what actually happened since we are getting conflicting reports? Did the ump actually make the right call? Are different people seeing different things here?

Stretchy has never dumped anybody, me on the other hand, I have been known to show a coach to the parking lot a little early!!!

By the Book

If it was batter interference the play should have been a delayed dead ball. If the batter was tagged out before reaching the plate he (the runner) would have been out strike charged on the attempted bunt for the batter. You CANNOT get both outs on that play unless there are 2 strikes and the attempted bunt was strike 3. The interference rule that several have talked about where you get both outs is a pop-up in foul territory. This scenario does not apply.

 

Diamond Rat must be the umpires son. The umpire should be fired for making a call so bad with the game on the line. That call saved the game for mooresville. Home plate Ump has atleast one save for mooresville this year. Great job blue.(devil)
