We had an all around good game. Solid pitching, good defense, and we put the ball in play well tonight.

RR is now 5-5 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

    AK 5-3 over Watauga

Jr. Chris McCue went 5 2/3 innings for Ak getting the win over Watauga.

Soph Trent Thorton got Kell out of a jam in the 6th, and Ashton Lover closed the door in the 7th for the save.

Offensively Alex Baker hit a solo homerun, and Alex Bartolomeo hit a two run homer, Conner Patterson had two hits, Drew Davies and Cody Shelton also chipped in with hits.

Hope I did not miss anyone.

The BBQ Was Great! AK fed the Wautagu team. What a great group of young men, Hard fought game, great kids! Really impressed on and off the field.

    EM Vs. AK

Eagles are struggling at the plate. Three of the first four batters, David and Leighton Daniels and Olen Little, are batting .433+ with the rest of the team struggling to get to .250 (I believer Reister is in the mid .300s). The team ERA, before Little's complete game with no earned runs, is 1.18. WOW! They have one of the top pitching staffs in the conference and three of them are juniors. That is probably the best I have seen Little throw this season, especially with going a week in between pitching appearances. He was masterful on the mound. Wingate got them a player! Just hope the guys don't get down. At least they have a chance to win everytime they step on the field, unlike a couple of years ago. Once those bats get going, the Eagles will be a team no one will want to play.
