    Rough day

    We were absolutely terrible today at the Clash of Champions in Morganton. Not sure what happened to my kids.
    North Davidson was strong as usual and Northern Vance showed they should be a tough contender in 3A. Very impressive team.

    Wow, I'm surprised Northern Vance is 3A, I would have guessed 4A. They looked strong.

    AC fielded the only JV team at morganton yesterday, playing the Mcguffie team from pennsylvania twice . Our young team looked strong and played well behind a 7 inning complete game shutout by sophmore Kensley Loudermelk, giving up only one hit with 9 K's. Hannah Stclair hit her first homerun of the year. Final score was 9-0. Second game score was 12- 0 after 5. Loudermelk k'd 11 of the 15 outs giving up only 2 hits. Proud of all the girls!

    This was not a no-hitter. AK- 5 hits, CD- 3 hits. AK's pitcher is very good. They have the potential to go far this year.
