    Mt. Pleasant - 11 Kannapolis - 2

Dylan May went 4-2/3 innings of no hit ball, before surrendering a 2 run homer to Grayson Atwood. May struck out 9 (11 but catcher let 2 reach) but had 100+ pitches after being pulled 2 batters later. All 9 K's were swinging, he was squeezed on some really good pitches that should have kept this one closer and his pitch count down. Credit MP for hanging in there and scoring 10 in the last 3 innings. Atwood hit 2 homers, both 2 run shots.

    Kannapolis Hitting:
Top of the line-up accounted for 4 of the "Wonders" hits.
    Zach Jones 2-3 (RBI D)
    Justin Kidd 1-3
    Wes Honeycutt 1-2 (BB)
    Alex Brandon 1-2 (R)
    Ryan Hartsell 1-2 (R) (RBI)

Good news for Kannapolis, relief help is on the way!

    HP CHRISTIAN 17,

    GRACE ACADEMY 15

HIGH POINT--Logan Gunn smacked a two-run homer to complete a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh that lifted High Point Christian past Charlotte Grace Academy 17-15 on Tuesday evening.

Taylor Bergsma got the first run home in the seventh with a groundout that drove in the last of his six RBIs. Andrew Barnette singled to plate the tying run, setting the stage for Gunn’s game-winning homer.

The slugfest started in the first as Grace scored six runs and HPCA (11-3) answered with nine runs, with Bergsma cracking a grand slam.

In addition to the six RBIs, Bergsman finished 2-for-5 with three runs scored.

Barnette was 4-for-5 with three RBIs and four runs for Bishop. Gunn was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Gesell drove in one run and scored two runs for the Villains.
