    Stop making the easy difficult!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Player asks me after many swings during batting practice: "What am I doing wrong Coach? Why am I not hitting the ball?"

    George Kell

legendary voice of the Detroit Tigers during his broadcasts with sidekick Al Kaline would say, when seeing a batter take a called 3rd strike; "He stood there like a house on the side of the road watching the cars go bye".

The best kind of person in the world. The cockiest, dirtiest and yet at the same time most responsible group of athletes in the universe. Teammates closer than any fraternity. Dedicated enough to be at practice and hour early and stay an hour late. Not afraid to live the dream until they are 35 then for most realize they never made it anywhere. Ladies love us. Guys want to be us. We are the sou of the universe, we are baseball players."

Skip: You guys. You lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? Larry!

    Larry: Lollygaggers!

    Skip: Lollygaggers.

There's only two people in this stadium that thinks that you are worth a damn. That's you and your dad, and right now your dad's not too sure. (Coach Raleigh as he signals to the bullpen for a relief pitcher)

    here's one

not really a quote, but I knew a coach that got tired of a player not obeying the "take" sign so the next time he went to bat the coach ordered him to leave his bat in the dugout. true story.
