The Providence vs Butler game coverage was a good job. Oh that was girls soccer "my bad". North Meck was playing Mooresville which affects the conference and possible playoff standings and they go report on Hopewell vs vance. Any coverage that the I-Meck gets is good but you would think someone would do a better job of picking what game to cover. In my opinion i truly believe that there is a Observer bias as far as Providence, Ardrey Kell and Myers Park is concerned but they have earned it with their play on the baseball field. The coaches and AD's in the I-Meck needs to do a better job of letting the writers know that there is some good baseball being played in the Northern part of Mecklenburg County.

I think the South Charlotte Sports Report should become the Charlotte Area Sports Report.....opportunity knocking??

    Charlotte Disturber

You think a liberal rag like the Charlotte Disturber is going to cover a great AMERICAN pass-time like baseball??? C'mon people...get a grip. There's no excuse for continual coverage of HS football and basketball when that season is over and baseball is in full swing. Clearly, whoever decides doesn't give a rip about baseball. Maybe the editor still harbors resentment from being cut from the team in high school or he was picked on by a baseball jock. Who knows, but that excuse is as good as any other. There IS no excuse. :EMOSTVomitIntoTheTo

Well it appears someone at the Observer has either been contacted about more HS baseball coverage, or (who knows) maybe they read TBR...

Regardless, gotta give Jay Edwards and Herb White big props, in the last week or so, I've noticed several stories about big games in the Charlotte area that were in the CO covered by these 2 writers. Great stories and pics, now if they can just keep it up...

I agree...now if they can just find their way to some other schools and locations (and avoid the no contest games)

    Baseball Coverage

:N1sickofmeyet:I volunteer to keep score and send in results, next excuse? SPC is going to go down to the wire and "The Daily Mistake" stays a week behind. I can get the scores I need here to post updates, so I save .50 cents.
