WEEKLY POLLS

Now that is a thought. I'll work on that. I have done a poll on something else that might interest you if you want to know. Don't get huffed up and defensive at me because I have actually seen them play and voiced my opinion. I figure my opinion is just as good as somebody who has never seen them play. BTW he said wins in softball he said nothing about the high school level which just my opinion but is just a step above rec ball.

Some people need to relax. It's early in the season. This is only the 3 poll of the year. It's doesn't matter where you are in the polls the first of April. What does matter is if you're still playing come late May. If the above mentioned teams aren't as good as the others mentioned, then, it will show and everyone will know come mid May when the playoffs start.

 

Where were the Tar Heels ranked at the beginning of the basketball season? and how long did they stay in the polls? It all works out in the end, so go ahead and make your poll so somebody else can rip on it.

 

Men are so sensitive

Geez, calm down men. Far be it from me to criticize the poll. I'm just trying to keep it real for the gentleman that asked the question about why some teams are on it and some are not. It is a poll. It is there to amuse people and give them something to do. It is a place where High School coaches can pay to vote for teams that they have never and most likely will never actually see play. Again I'm not putting down the poll, just take it for what it is. I didn't make up the rules...it is what it is so don't get mad at me. If I am wrong and it is something other than High School coaches that pay to vote on teams state wide that they have never seen play I'm sure someone will correct me. Oh, and I am amused that some of you are calling for your leader, the Guru, to come here and straightened this woman out.hahaha

 

Why so negative?

I just wonder what has caused you to be so negative. You don't care for the polls, State Games are a joke, Region 8 is horrible, high school coaches can't coach, bad experience for this and that, NCSCA is a place for coaches to pay to vote, high school ball is notch above rec ball if that, husband must coach Travel ball and has an idea or so about something, and have some kind of poll of your own that you would like to share with me and I can guess it is negative about either the State Games or the NCSCA. Thank you for always being the counterpoint, I am sure there are people out there who actually enjoy your ideas and views. I however am through after this post. Blast away!

 

300 wins in HS ball is a heck of an accomplishment!! 30 games a season that means 15 -20 years of .750 ball building a program by developing the players you have !! 300 wins in TB at 200 plus games a year is a couple of years of .500 ball reqruiting a team that a phone call or 2 can get whatever position player is needed. I know I coach both.

 

Are the polls perfect......NO.

I'm sure the coaches that vote do the best they can with the knowledge they have. There is no way for them to know about every team and how they do from game to game. And, there will be a lot of good teams overlooked for that reason.

Teams do like to be recoginized no matter where it comes from or who it comes from. BUT, the good teams out there stay focused on what's most important, getting to the post season and going as far as they can.
