Big "Big East" Battle tonight at Wilson Hunt. #1 Rocky Mount sending Benton Moss to the hill vs. Zack Lee of Hunt. Hunt's hitting vs. Rocky Mount's pitching. Winner goes to 2-0 in the conference. Any thoughts?

 

IM' GOING WITH HUNT'S HITTING. THEY ARE A STRONG HITTING TEAM, WITH GOOD DEFENSE. I THINK HUNT WINS 3-1. IMO LEE IS GOOD ENOUGH ON THE MOUND TO HANDLE RM HITTING. HUNT IS HITTING 408 AS A TEAM. PRETTY GOOD, JON SMITH IS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT THERE. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS. COULD BE ONE OF THE TEAMS REP THE EAST

There are good hitters on both teams. Pitching matchup favors Rocky Mount. Getting on base against Moss will be a chore. Could be a good game. 5-1 RM

 

Moss is legit. Even on an off night without his best stuff he's still throwing 90+ and thats tough to hit

Hunts hitters have been excellent 1-9 all year so far, tonight will be a good test for them.

2 great teams, HUGE conference matchup, big thursday night crowd. It's going to be a fun one.

Prediction: RM 4-2 (Hoping Zach Lee is on tonight and they do not have to go deep into the bullpen. The more pitching changes Hunt has, the uglier it gets.)

The game is being taped for showing at a later date on the Stretchlon Sports Show on WHIG-TV local cable channel. Hopefully it will live up to it's top billing. Good luck to all the players.

Moss pitched 6 strong innings & left with a 7-0 lead. Bombs by Collins Cuthrell & Thomas Berry (3 run variety) and some real nice defensive work by Michael Whitehead @ 2nd base (one runner thrown out at the plate). Zach Houchins had 3 hits for the warriors.

Fat lady wasn't singing until late as Hunt mounted a mini-rally in the seventh against 2 Gryphon relievers. Nice crowd on hand & a coach got tossed in the proceedings as well.

 

And Stretchy wasn't involved?

I would never go against Benton Moss. In my opinion, he's the best in the state...Maples ain't too shabby, but Moss hasn't come close to how good he will be. I'm not sure Benton realizes how good he is.
