.....HHHMMMM?, I'm gonna have to think about the split conference thing. In one aspect it has merit for the better side of the kids for playing the best comp. in your area, and obviously the economic stuff as budgets are cut everywhere. But if you're one of those schools that does not have the great pitcher, or she gets hurt then maybe the waters shed off the mountain in the other direction.

Wow!, Imagine how cool that it would be for the powers that be, ie the school board members could actually get together and make things right for the best of the kids.

Bus one kid who lives a mile from a school to a school 15 miles away, or conference gigs such as yours, .....but the killer that I heard yesterday......"I've got one kid at Garner, and one kid at Middle Creek"....WHAT! If any of the bigs in school gov. can logically explain how this gig supports the best interest of a kid then maybe they can muster up a decent opinion on split conference as well

Hey, bottom line is you play who you play and to be the best you have to beat the best.

    Good luck

Whats up with the change of heart. Last week you had nothing but praises for the new conference. IF you get bored ride up the mountain to AC Reynolds and back! I personally love the new conference better conference for baseball, softball, wrestling, and not much difference in football.

No no don't get me wrong. I think this is a very strong conference as for the teams involved. I just like a straight 4a conference better. That way a conference title still means a little something. Right no we only have to finish ahead of 2 teams to be 4a confernce champions, That takes a little of the luster of conference champions away imho. And I'm sure the 3a teams would rather not have to face the same 4a teams twice a year. Just was more meaningful when we played against teams in our division during conference play

I thought you only had one conference champion for the conference not by classification. The 3A-4A divide when playoff time comes.

The split conferences bring about some awful matchups in the post season tournaments. A one seed from a particular conference may have finished fourth in their conference in the regular season. Why should they get that advantage in the post season?

What you are talking about has nothing to do with being a conference champion. However you are correct about your point, split conferences stink come playoff time.

Noticed that Hall for SC and Oakes for Hibriten have neither one been pitching for their respective teams in the last several games. Are they injuried or just getting some rest and letting others get some experience for the last part of the season? Both teams have lost a lot recently with them out.

Hall injuried her hamstring and has been out for a couple weeks. Will be going to the doctor this week. hopefully she can get back soon. From what I hear Qakes problem is much worse. Word is she has gotten the dreaded "boyfrienditous". That is usually terminal. LOL
