    Northwest 10 Kannapolis 0

NW took out their frustrations from last night on Kannapolis tonight beating the Wonders in 6 innings. Taylor West pitched his best game of the year by limiting the Wonders to only 2 hits (I think) and going the distance.

    Green Hope - 2
    Cary - 0

    WP - Pistacchio (Complete Game)
    LP - Harris (Complete game)

I think there were four hits in this game. McKinney of Cary had two and a couple guys had a hit a piece for Green Hope. Game was played in just under a hour and a half. Good pitching, good defense, good baseball. Couple mistakes here and there by each team with the home team coming out on top. Green Hope stays alive in the Tri-9 for the playoff seeds. Cary drops another tough one but what a great pitched game by two high school seniors.

    Butler v East Meck

I just got home from EM and Butler. No need to post boxscore, since its on the webcast, but I just had to post to say that the SW4A is out of control this year. It seems there's a barn burner every Tuesday and every Friday. Tonight it was at Butler. 2-2 through 9 innings and rain delays. Suddenly, the Eagles explode for 5 in the 10th. For the Eagles great effort from Jonathan Crews. He went 8 strong innings. Also, teams walk the Daniels brothers at their own risk. Tonight Jackson Reisterer made the Bulldogs pay after David Daniels walked in the top of the 5th to put the Eagles up 2-1.

So, who's going extra innings on Friday? What a league.

    West Stanly over Cuthbertson

West Stanly and winning pitcher Demetrus Ingram snapped Cuthbertson's 12-game winning streak 5 - 0 last night. While the score might not show it, this was a pitchers duel, throughout. Losing pitcher Peter Hendel only gave up 3 hits during the game and fanned 8 with only 2 walks. Unfortunately, 2 of them went yard. Ingram gave up 3 hits and struck out 8, as well, but the 92 - 93 fastball was a little tough. The young man was bringing it last night.
This is making itself out to be a good rivalry. West Stanly is the only team that the Cavs have lost to this year. Cuthbertson has Union Academy this afternoon at home.
Cuthbertson moves to 16 - 2 on the season.
