3A conference

Any of the top 10 could win state. All depends on pitching match-ups

 

It's early!

It's too early to be talking about the playoffs, but the pre-set brackets will have some talking later on. For instance, If Rocky Mount (currently #1) wins the Big East & West Brunswick (currently #7) wins the Waccamaw, then those 2 teams will be squaring off in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Let's see: that would be Hobbs Johnson or Benton Moss vs. Jay Gause in round 2. One Top Ten team would quickly be eliminated from the playoffs. Ironically, Rocky Mount would have to travel to West Brunswick also.(Waccamaw holds seeding priority over the Big East this year.) Doesn't quite seem fair for the #1 team in the state to have to travel in the 2nd round of the state playoffs. Still, it's early.

 

How about some updates on the 3-A conferences around the state?

Waccamaw 3A/2A
1. West Brunswick 7-1
2. North Brunswick 5-3
3. South Columbus
4. Whiteville
5. East Bladen
6. South Brunswick
7. West Bladen

I think this is correct but I'm not 100% sure. I do know that in the 3A, West Brunswick will be the #1 seed and South Brunswick will be the #2 seed.

 

Big East:

4. Nash Central 4-6, 14-8
5. Northern Nash 2-8, 4-15

Really thought Triton and S. Johnston would have done better here than what shows....have either suffered injuries or etc.?
