Mooresville beats Vance. Mooresville had 3 or 4 home runs.

Mallard Creek 6 Lake Norman 9

A back and fourth game all night. Lake Norman finally brought out their bats and ended there four game loosing skid.

Senior lefty ace Scottie Williams got the win, pitched 6 innings allowing 5 runs. But he got better every inning and that was the key.
Taylor Thurber came in and pitched the 7th allowing 1 earned run.

    Lake Norman Hitting:
    Tyler Lewis 3-4 1 rbi
    Jack Edminston 3-4
    Ian Edminston 2-4 2 rbi
    Jesse Seaford 1-2 3rbi
    Drew Mcneil 2-2
Brad Chamberlain and Joey McAlpin each added a hit

Lake Norman will travel to West Iredell thursday then to Hopewell Friday!

Lake Norman, Mallard Creek, North Meck all 5-3 in conference
    Mooresville 6-2
Hopewell Had a bye? so 5-2

What a wild conference this year! Mooresville beats Mallard Creek by 1 earlier this year. Then they beat LN 10-0 in 5. The next week Mallard Creek thumps Mooresville 15-3 then loses to Lake Norman. If I were a bettin man I would be broke by now tryin to pick winners in this conference.

Lake Norman beat Mallard Creek 9-6 last night in a game that went back and forth in the rain. Mallard creek had a couple of errors that the hard hitting Lake norman team took advantage with some clutch hits to get the win. lake norman played a good game and executed bunts and everything they tried last the way a well coached team should. My hat off to them for winning a big conference game. Mallard creek was led offensively by Brendan Witek with 2 hits, Mikal Hill 2 hits 3 rbi's and Jamel Harbison with a HR. Can someone please tell me how the tie breakers work since the top five teams in the conference seems to be splitting their games and we have 5 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots not counting the wild card slots.

    Here you go Pirate: https://www.nchsaa.org/intranet/dow...ode=getFile&elementID=6293&type=5&atomID=8297

Basically it says that going through all the procedures in determining tie breakers and a winner can't be decided, they draw the names from a hat.

Tough game conditions....drizzle to light rain most of the way. Lead swapped around a few times and both teams kept battling. Edmiston brothers go 5-8, both sophomores manning high profile positions...catcher and shortstop. Players to keep an eye on, for sure.
