Read on UNC site that Dillon Maples threw a no-hitter and struck out 18 last night against Scotland County. It also mentioned that Mike Fox was there!!!! Pinecrest won 3-0!!!

On a rainy night the Mustangs find a way to get it done. Grant Fisher threw another complete game bouncing back from the Friday one hit loss against East Meck. For the Mustangs, Joe Hager stepped up big with two homeruns and 3 RBI. Brian Holberton was 4-4, Grant Fisher had a big RBI triple, and Grant Goodson hit his first homerun ever!

Ryan Butler started the game and struggled a little. Couple pop flies to center were lost in the rainy sky which kept a two innings alive. Connor Patterson had a homerun over the right field wall and Alex Bartolomeo had two hits in the lead off spot.

Myers Park is back in action Friday night at home vs. Providence at 7:00. Should be a good one.

Another win for the Titans. Hunter May would go all 7 innings striking out 9 batters. The offense for the Titans continue to swing the sticks. Keith Prowse went yard for his 3rd homerun in 4 games. Cody Strickland would go 2-3 with a double and a triple into the rightfield corner with a 2 RBI night. Hunter conley went 2-3 as he continues to swing a hot bat. Daniel Whitecavage was 1-3 with a RBI. John Auten 1-2 with a double and 1 RBI.
The Titans will be back in action on Friday night at home against Lake Norman.

    Watauga 8
    Fred T. Foard 0

    WP: Cal Hardee 7IP, 1 H, 16K
    LP: Henderson

    Watauga
    Tyler Jones 2-2, 2B
    Max Linnville 1-3, HR
    Josh Wyant 2-4, 2B
    Cal Hardee 1-3, RBI
    David Martin 1-2, 2B
    Josh Roberts 1-3, RBI

Watauga gets a big win tonight to improve to 7-2 in the conference and sets up a huge game Friday vs Alexander Central who is 8-1 in the conference. Cal Hardee had a no-hitter through 6 2/3 innings before the leadoff hitter for Foard knocked a single into left field. Should have a big crowd on hand Friday night for first place in the conference or at least a share of it.

Coached this "kid" and against him in AAU baseball when he was younger. He tends to be a little wild, did he have good control? He was pretty much unhittable then, our game plan was to take pitches and make him go deeper in the count. He's a terrific kid!

The "Wonders" rebound at Statesville. Kannapolis had 10 hits and used 3 pitchers in the win, Ryan Hartsell started and was relieved by Michael Church (his first action this year on the mound) and Alex Brandon. Thats about all I know, I couldn't be there for this one. Kudo's to Michael Church, my son said he pitched really well and this kid works his tail off.:N1Greatjob02:

Hickory Ridge loses non-conference game to East Rowan 3 to 7. Their non-con games this year have been against some good teams- Sun Valley, Mallard Creek, East Rowan, and Marvin Ridge next week, but playing good teams helps a team improve their own game-I hope. They have a big game against Concord on Friday. Need a win to remain in SPC race.

He had good control that night. I told one of the dads on their team that he was really bringing it and he said the same thing as you. Was happy that he had the control on that night. Western Carolina was there and they had the gun working. Hit 93!
