    Northwest 18 Kannapolis 4

Northwest had a hot night at the plate tonight. Down 3-4 going into the 3rd. inning, NW goes in front after a 3 run HR by Weston Smith and another 3 run HR by Tanner Black later that same inning. NW would send 16 batters to the plate, scoring 12 all in the 3rd. NW would add three runs as the game was called after the fifth. Rob Bain had another good outing and Kevin Hamilton came in to close out the Wonders.

Eric Brenk thew a complete game shutout and Corey Smith homered in the 6th to give Concord a 2-0 win over Hickory Ridge. Concord improves to 14-8 on the year and 8-4 in conference still trailing Mount Pleasant and Northwest Cabarrus by one game going into the final week of the conference schedule.

    Conference Tourney

Does anyone know how top seed in conference tourney will be decided if NW and MP (or anyone else) finish the regular season tied for first? Also, will the entire SPC tourney be played at Kannapolis or will first round be played at higher seeds location?

I'm pretty sure it goes to runs allowed in conference.
So far Mt has given up 26 and NWC 30[IMG]

I think you will find it is
    1. head to head
    2. record against other conf teams by their final place
    3. draw position out of a hat

It is hard to remember all of them, but same criteria is used in all conferences as decided by NCHSA. runs for/against is used in summer tourneys only to prevent running up of scores.

    Northwest 6 Cox Mill 1

NW outscores their old buddies 6-1 at Cox Mill. Taylor West picks up the win with Kevin Hamilton getting the save. John Wallace hits his first HR of the year.

Hickory Ridge gets the win against JM Robinson 5 to 3. Colton Love went the distance for the win. Tyler Graham hit a 3 run homer to lead The Bulls at the plate.
