....there was a post not too far back about a player who had successfully stolen 100ish bases out of 100ish+ attempts and was it a record.
I don't think that Pops or any of the others in TBR knowledge have replied, or if they did I'm sorry that I missed it.
Hook the fishman up with some info on the low down stat wise on stolen base records and please somebody post the young ladys name and school.

Thanks and bigtime props for sure!

Little ole Peace College had 85 stolen bases in 93 attempts this year.
Currently ranked 2nd in most stolen bases this year.

I am just curious? How are folks keeping books in high schools scoring a stolen base?

By rule, a stolen base only occurs when the defense makes an attempt to put out the base runner. If the catcher chooses not to attempt to throw out the runner, it is not a stolen base due to defensive indifference. If the base is "stolen" on a passed ball, the only time a stolen base is credited is when the baserunner made a break for the steal before the ball is errored by the catcher. In the same light, a stolen base on a wild pitch is not a stolen base. Both WP's and PB's are credited as an advancement on error, not a SB.

If you include all the WP's and SB's my daughter has advanced on, and let me tell you she is slowwwwwwwwwwww as molasses, she would have more than 3 dozen stolen bases on the year. The reality is, she has..... 9.

    Thoughts?

You have some valid points. Maybe if someone were to ask the scorekeeper they might find out some of the scoring wasn't quite right.

That's not meant to take anything away from Bella; she definitely has the ability to do it. She's a coach's dream kid as far as speed and attitude! A real team player!

Oh absolutely not. Bella's information is impressive no matter what! Would love a chance to get out there and see her do her stuff. Outstanding base running can make or break any team.
