i've watched several girls go through this in the last two years. power hitters with rep's. they all go through a series of steps, you know, flustration from not getting anything to hit, intentional walks, getting mad and swinging at things they cant possibly hit......then it all just comes together for them mentally......on base percentage in the high 900's, standing in the box waiting for the pitcher to just make one mistake and boom...gone. thats hs ball......tb, every pitcher will challlange ya in the box.

most of the girls who have been mentioned in this thread, i've watched a time or two. great mechanics, great eye for what is and what aint, ability to correctly guess whats coming next from the mound.

some are fire plugs, some are tall and lanky, but they all have something in common, a dad behind them pushing for perfection, and the desire/drive to accel.

we all need to give them a tip of the hat for a job well done.

no matter who comes out on top this year as the new home run queen, its been quite an interesting year all around the state.

Randleman's Tori Ryan and Meka Hoover have hit a couple as well. Tori is really seeing the ball right now, she hit one out in the East Davidson game and her next time up she hit the fence in the air. Just knew that one was out as well.
