....if she's not the national player of the year then it would be a shame.
She leads in pretty much every facet of the game, was on the Canadien national team as well.

Also GT has Hope Rush a freshman pitcher and hitter that was a finalist (top 25) players to watch for POY.

Weseman is a soph. who was freshman of the year last year and she is in the top 10 in the ACC in hitting also.

Stats....the acc.com/sports....then softball, then either individual or conference leaders.
I'm looking forward to seeing her play.

    Danielle Lawrie (27-2)

All these stats above say yes.... But Danielle Lawrie (27-2) Washington....has had 3 perfect games and 16 shut outs so far this year and 327 K's so far. avg 11.5 per game tied with Spaulding from UNC 5th in the nation. Look for DL to be NPOY w YEE a close 2nd. If GT was ranked in top 3-5 all yr she would likely win...... JMHO

    .....good points made for sure.

No doubt DL is a stud and Washinton being ranked at or near the top all year helps, but theres no slander to GT for being in the top 10 all year and lets face it, Jen Yee is the DL of batting.

Spaulding is tough as well and unfortunately has suffered from an injury this year, and UNC has a great team but not in the limelight this year to have a positive affect on DS as a candidate for NPOY.

    Yee's weekend

Jen has 14 AB's versus NCSU. Reaches base 14 times. She's the best hitter I've ever seen. I'm still not sure I would walk her 10 times!
